Harry Potter conjures up $20 million first day
Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince pulled in $20 million during its midnight run at 12:01 a.m. Wednesday, according to Variety.
The best midnight run of all time!!!
That figure beats the $18 million earned by the latest Batman flick, The Dark Knight, which is also a film by Warner Bros. The next best film was 20th Century Fox’s Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith with $17 million.
Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince is a 2009 fantasy-adventure film based on the novel of the same name by J. K. Rowling. It is the sixth film in the Harry Potter film series.
