Everett - the parade chief of Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras
Rupert Everett led Sydney's annual Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras in Australia on Saturday night.
According to FemaleFirst the openly-gay “My Best Friend's Wedding” star was the parade chief of the event.
The annual event took over the Oxford Street region of the city and attracted a 350,000-strong crowd.
British actor used the occasion to address the global fight for gay rights.
"I think it's time for us to give back, to care about each other, and to fight for others - gay and straight - who ... don't have a voice just when they most need to be heard", said the actor.
There were 250 Kylie Minogue look-alike drag queens.
