Ellen Pompeo stands up to cancer
Ellen Pompeo keeps it chic in a Michael Kors jacket as she helps launch American Cancer Society’s ”Choose You” campaign in NYC’s Times Square on Tuesday (May 4).
“1 in 3 women will get cancer and 50% of all cancer deaths could be prevented by early detection,” the 40-year-old Grey’s Anatomy actress shared. “I had to get involved because it’s such a common sense, simple thing. We have to eat right, exercise, and get early screenings. And stop smoking!”
Ellen added, “My daily schedule is quite hectic, but I have to put my health first in order to be the best mom and wife I can be” (She has a 7-month-old daughter Stella Ivery.)
