Daniel Radcliffe celebrates his performance in the Broadway play Equus with a portrait of himself on the wall of Tony’s di Napoli restaurant in New York City.

The 19-year-old British actor also received his own caricature at famed theater restaurant Sardi’s on Thursday (January 29).

Equus is a play by Peter Shaffer written in 1973, telling the story of a psychiatrist who attempts to treat a young man who has a pathological religious/sexual fascination with horses.

Last week, Daniel Radcliffe as bemoaned the strict age limits on drinking alcohol in the US, saying the rules have put a dampener on his current stint in New York.

The star was looking forward to sampling some of Manhattan's finest clubs and bars. But Radcliffe, who can drink legally in Britain, was disappointed to find that he can't get served alcohol in America because the legal drinking age is 21.

He said: "My first night in New York we all went out and I was like, 'Yeah let's do it!" And then I was like, 'The drinking age is what?'"

But Radcliffe insists that he will return to New York following his 21st birthday, so he can enjoy boozing in the town.
