Craig set to demonstrate critics were wrong
Daniel Craig revealed that the criticism he received after being announced as the new James Bond encouraged him to make a better movie.
According to Digital Spy the actor was stunned by the backlash he received from some sections of the press last year, but is now thrilled to be receiving positive reviews from critics and fans alike.
"When the negative criticism came along I thought, you know what we've just got to make the best movie we can and that’s it and concentrate on that, and that’s what we did, I put my head down," he explained in an interview with Parkinson.
"I said to [producer] Barbara Broccoli the other day when we started getting good reviews which was great, and suddenly the numbers started coming in and suddenly we’ve got a successful movie, I said 'we've done it now because we’ve got to make the next one better!”, continued the new James Bond.
"But that's the challenge and that really is all that I've ever really thought about in acting and that's why I did the job because it was the biggest challenge I've ever been offered and therefore incredibly exciting."
