Christian Bale premieres Public Enemies

Public Enemies is a 2009 film directed by Michael Mann, an adaptation of Bryan Burrough's non-fiction book Public Enemies: America's Greatest Crime Wave and the Birth of the FBI, 1933–34.
The 35-year-old actor talked a little bit about Johnny Depp’s character John Dillinger, “He was a deeply loyal guy, which I think is probably rare for someone in his line of work.” John Dillinger was a bank robber in the mid-western United States during the 1930s, who some considered to be a modern-day Robin Hood".
The movie presenst a crime drama is set during the Great Depression with the focus on the FBI agent Melvin Purvis's attempt to stop criminals John Dillinger, Baby Face Nelson, and Pretty Boy Floyd. Christian Bale plays FBI agent Purvis, Johnny Depp plays Dillinger, Marion Cotillard plays Dillinger's girlfriend Billie Frechette, and Channing Tatum plays Pretty Boy Floyd.
