Carey Mulligan hits BAFTA Awards 2010
Carey Mulligan takes the prize at the Orange British Academy Film Awards held at the Royal Opera House on Sunday (February 21) in London, England.
The 24-year-old actress (in Vionnet) took home the prize for Leading Actress for her work on An Education, beating out Audrey Tautou and Meryl Streep!
Carey’s aunt, Heulwen Booth, spoke to the BBC and said that she’s so proud of her niece.
“The family were so pleased she’d been nominated to start off with and not having dreamed she that she would ever actually win, but waiting for them to open that envelope and finding out she had actually won - it was unbelievable,” Heulwen said.
