Cameron Diaz father died
Her father, Emilio Diaz, just 58, had a flu which then turned into pneumonia.
Emilio Diaz was a second generation Cuban-American who worked for an oil company. He had small part in Cameron's comic film "There's Something About Mary."
Hollywood actress Cameron Diaz said she and her family are grateful for the support they have been getting since her father Emilio died suddenly Tuesday.
"My mom, sister and I are deeply appreciative of the overwhelming outpouring of love and support during this difficult time for us and all of our family," Diaz said in a statement issued by her representative, Brad Cafarelli, to People.com. "My dad was loved by so many people, and his humor and spirit will always live on in our hearts."
