Aziz Ansari: MTV Movie Awards host
Aziz Ansari will host the 2010 MTV Movie Awards from the Gibson Amphitheatre stage on Sunday (June 6) in Universal City, Calif.
The 27-year-old comedian joked, “Ronnie from Jersey Shore was unavailable, so I am indeed hosting the 2010 MTV Movie Awards.”
“Our audience fell in love with Aziz on Human Giant. They followed him to the movies, TV and stand-up, and connect with him daily online,” said Stephen Friedman, general manager of MTV. “Aziz is the perfect host for the 2010 MTV Movie Awards, as he will bring his innovative comedy and distinctive style to the movie industry’s most rebellious night on television.”
