Andy Samberg to host MTV Movie Awards
Andy Samberg is set to host the 2009 MTV Movie Awards on Sunday (May 31) at the Gibson Amphitheater in Universal City, Calif.
“I’m super excited to host the Movie Awards,” the 30-year-old Saturday Night Live funnyman said in a statement. “I grew up watching the show and a lot of the past hosts are heroes of mine. Plus my friends and I were writers for the show prior to working at SNL, so it will be a sweet and satisfying homecoming. I can’t wait to act really important.”
Let’s hope there will be lots of Lonely Island appearances!
Andy Samberg is best known for his comedian skills. He is the member of the comedy troupe the Lonely Island, a player on Saturday Night Live and has appeared on Premium Blend and Arrested Development, Late Night with Conan O'Brien, the Daily Show With Jon Stewart, and the Late Show with David Letterman.
