Bandslam follows a high school outcast (Connell) bonds with a popular girl (Michalka) over their shared love of music and results in them assembling a rock group that looks to win their school’s upcoming battle of the bands competition.
It stars Gaelan Connell, Aly Michalka, Vanessa Hudgens and Lisa Kudrow.
Here is what has to comment Vanessa about her upcoming movie: "It means a lot to me," she said. "I get to play a different character who is a lot darker and very deadpan throughout the whole thing."
Though not yet released to theaters, it was included in Yahoo!'s "Best and Most Popular Movies" list, ranking #7.
Bandslam hits theaters on Friday, August 14th.
