11.11.11: Humanity needs a hero! (VIDEO)

Elena Vnorovscaia / Chişinău / Moldova.ORG / -- The day of 11.11.11 is not only another one predicted end of the world. It is also the day of a new movie’s first night! And don’t rush to say that this news won’t blow your mind just as the notorious Apocalypse.

Relativity Media and Universal Pictures are going to win our hearts on November 11, 2011 by releasing Real D 3D and Digital 3D action-adventure fantasy film “Immortals”. Its trailer really amazes!

Here are some facts about the movie:
Directed by Tarsem Singh; produced by Mark Canton, Ryan Kavanaugh and Gianni Nunnari; written by Vlas Parlapanides and Charley Parlapanides;
Starring: Henry Cavill as Theseus, founder and king of Athens, son of Poseidon and the film's protagonist.
Luke Evans as Zeus, god of the sky and lightning, king of the gods, brother of Poseidon and Demeter and father of Heracles.
Freida Pinto as Phaedra, an oracle priestess who joins Theseus on his quest.
Mickey Rourke as King Hyperion, the Titan 'Hyperion' disguised as the king of Crete and the film's antagonist.
Kellan Lutz as Poseidon, god of the sea, brother of Zeus and Demeter and father of Theseus.
Isabel Lucas as Athena, goddess of warfare, battle strategies, wisdom and justice.
Stephen Dorff as Stavros, a master thief who joins Theseus on his quest.

Few words on picture’s plot: The film is based on the Greek myth of Theseus and the Minotaur and the Titanomachy.

Years after the gods won their struggle against the Titans, the brutal and bloodthirsty Titan King Hyperion (Mickey Rourke) declares war on humanity. He searches for the Epirus Bow, which will enable mad with power king to overthrow the Gods of Olympus and become the undisputed master of his world. With ruthless efficiency, Hyperion and his legions destroy everything in their wake, and it seems nothing will stop the evil king's mission.

But, in accordance with ancient laws, the gods are unable to take a side in the war between Hyperion and humanity. Secretly chosen by Zeus (Luke Evans)), peasant named Theseus (Henry Cavill) appears as their only hope. The hero is accompanied by the priestess Phaedra (Freida Pinto) and a slave (Stephen Dorff) to save his homeland and gods.
