Diggers

A funny, heartfelt ‘70s era period piece set in the still-unspoiled Hamptons area of Long Island, “Diggers” is the story of two generations of hard-living clam diggers trying to maintain their way of life in the face of the enormous change.
A death in the family causes thirty-something siblings, Hunt (Paul Rudd) and Gina (Maura Tierney) to examine the bonds of family, friends, and relationships forged in their tight-knit community. As the growth of a large corporation increasingly threatens their livelihood, Hunt and his life-long friends Cons (Josh Hamilton), Frankie (Ken Marino), and Jack (Ron Eldard) are each forced to consider new directions in life.
A slice-of-life from America’s not-too-distant past, “Diggers” benefits from a talented ensemble cast, the warmth and humor of writer/actor Ken Marino’s (MTV’s “The State”) script, and director Katherine Diekmann’s sensitive balance of drama and comedy.
