Jason Isaacs was born on 6 June 1963 Liverpool, Merseyside, England, UK. He is a British actor.
Jason Isaacs attended Bristol University where he studied for a degree in Law. His interest in drama grew from his frequent participation through both performance and direction of many of the school's productions. He then attended the Central School of Speech and Drama.
Jason Isaacs made his Hollywood film debut in 1989's The Tall Guy, but largely worked on the London stage and British television until 1996, when he appeared in Dragonheart. His major film breakthrough came with his role in The Patriot when he played the pure evil and brutal Colonel William 'The Butcher' Tavington.
But he looked gorgeous and proved just how evil he could be. Other credits include Event Horizon, Armageddon, Soldier, The End of the Affair, Sweet November and Black Hawk Down. In 2002, he appeared in Windtalkers and The Tuxedo. And of course, he starred as the utterly evil stunner, Lucius Malfoy in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets and Goblet of Fire, along with his pimp hat and snake stick.
