    Rachel Bilson

Rachel Sarah Bilson was born on August 25, 1981 in Los Angeles, California, USA. She is an American actress.

From the first time she discovered her love of acting, Rachel always had the full support of her family behind her. When she was seven, her parents allowed her to try out for, and land her first role in Louie Anderson's "The Wrong Guys". The film gained over $1 million dollars within the box office, not a bad feat for her first film.

The experience reaffirmed Rachel's love of acting, leading her to continue auditioning for roles during her attendance at Notre Dame High School. Her next role came as a small part in a seven-episode mini-series, entitled "Human Target". The film was small, but it kept Rachel going with her dream until she graduated and decided to take acting up full-time. Rachel's next step to fame involved hiring an agent, who thankfully helped get her foot in the door.

Rachel's first real job with her agent, was in a production of "Bye Bye Birdie", inwhich she figured prominently, and helped her gain two main roles in other productions; "The Crucible" and "Once Upon A Mattress". After a year of two in theatre, Rachel decided to branch out and tried out television. Her first television role came in the fantasy television series, "It's True" in 1998, but the show was cancelled shortly after the pilot was shot. Despite the tragedy of losing her first prime-time role, Rachel kept working away, starring in commercials, for huge companies such as Subway.

Then came Rachel's big year - in 2003, Rachel auditioned for roles in three productions - two televisions, and one an independant film: "Buffy the Vampire Slayer", "8 Simple Rules" and finally the film "Unbroken". After her busy schedule was completed, Rachel was invited to audition for a new television series, inwhich Fox was hoping would fill the void left by "Beverly Hills 90210", and "Melrose Place" - "the OC". She was cast immediately as Summer Roberts, a spoiled beauty who personifies the "valley-girl" stereotype created by "Clueless".

The television show debuted in the summer of 2003, to smashing ratings and critical reviews, throwing Rachel into the limelight. Since the show premiered, Rachel has been featured on the cover of magazines like "Zink", "Stuff", "Cosmo Girl" and "YM", aswell as guest starring on shows like "Jimmy Kimmel Live", "Craig Kilborn", "The View", "Ellen", "Mad TV", "On-Air with Ryan Seacrest" and "MTV Request".

The O.C. was cancelled and Rachel quickly moved into films. She jumped into "The Last Kiss" which co-starred actor/writer Zach Braff. Rachel shined. After a little downtime and breakup with actor Adam Brody Rachel moved on to guest appearing on "Chuck" and starred in the massive box office hit "Jumper" which made over $25 million opening weekend.
