Devon Edwenna Aoki was born on August 10, 1982 in New York City, USA. She is an American fashion model and actress.

Devon grew up in the suburbs of Malibu, California, with one older sister and a younger brother. The family moved back to NYC in Devon's early teens, where she was introduced to Kate Moss at the age of 13 by her godmother.

In 1998, Devon replaced top model Naomi Campbell as the Versace muse, being only 16 years old. Since then Devon's face has graced over 20 magazine covers, including Vogue and Nylon. She was featured in ad campaigns for Chanel Couture by Karl Lagerfeld, Versace Atelier by Steven Meisel and Junko Shimada by Bettina Kimenda, and her portfolio includes modelling for big names like Chanel, Thierry Mugler, Balenciaga, Fendi, Jean Paul Gaultier and Givenchy. Today, the 23-year-old is the new face of Lancome alongside Mena Suvari, Uma Thurman and Elizabeth Jagger.

Considering her sense of fashion, it can be said that when it comes to publicity events, Devon is often seen wearing stunning outfits made by the designers she represents. In private, the model likes it more casual, though still beautiful, in jeans and a top. She hardly exposes too much skin and always appears classy.

Devon may be the heiress to the Benihana Japanese steakhouse chain, but wants to earn her living. In addition to her career in modelling she started auditioning for movie roles and got her first part in 2003 in the musical/comedy Death of a Dynasty, playing opposite Chloe Sevigny.

In the same year she also landed the role of Suki in the action movie 2 Fast 2 Furious, featuring Paul Walker and Eva Mendes. It was only then that Devon was finally taught how to drive by a professional stunt driver, after admitting that she'd never driven anything besides a golf cart in her life.

In 2004 the model starred in the comedy D.E.B.S. and a year later she was cast as Miho in the adaptation of Frank Miller's stories based in the fictional town of Sin City.
