Transfax Film Production was established as an independent film production company in 1988, by Marek Rozenbaum, one of today's most experienced film producers in the Israeli film industry.

Being one of Israel's largest production houses, Transfax produced over 30 Israeli feature films, many of which are award-winning films, gaining worldwide recognition. In the last couple of years, the production house has been involved in international co-productions, and is constantly expanding its activities in this field. In 2003 only, Transfax co produced 5 Israeli- French co productions, joining the success of the 2002 Israeli- French co production,
"Late Marriage" (by Dover Kosashvili).

In addition to feature films, Transfax has produced over 40 documentaries and 10 TV dramas.

The distribution arm of the company gathered a careful selection of titles to its catalogue, representing various Israeli film industry productions, as well as in- house productions. Doing so, a fascinating catalogue was created, offering the finest local productions.

Aside from the production/distribution of Israeli films, Marek Rozenbaum holds the position of Chairman of the Israel Academy of Motion Picture and TV, and Chairman of the Public Steering Committee, Film and TV at the Israel Export Institute. In the past, Mr. Rozenbaum held the position of Chairman of Israel's Film and Television Producers Association, for 6 years, and today he is a member of its board, as well as member of the EFA.
