Zachary John Quinto was born on June 2, 1977 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA. He is an American actor.
He began acting at the young age of 11 years old with the Pittsburgh CLO-Mini Stars. Zachary later graduated from Central Catholic High School in 1995; then, Carnegie Mellon University in 1999.
He acted in theater, in Civic Light Opera productions, and at age 16, revealed his earnest desire to pursue acting to his mother. His first television role was in 2000 in "The Others". He has since had numerous guest starring roles on a variety of television shows, notably 24, So NoTORIous and most recently Heroes. In July 2007, it was announced that he will be portraying Mr. Spock in JJ Abram’s Star Trek.
