William 'Billy' Baldwin was born on February 21, 1963 in Massapequa, New York, USA. He is an American actor.

Baldwin can be seen in the following upcoming independent films -- he co-stars with Tim Robbins, William Hurt and Bridget Moynahan in the Henry Bean-directed black comedy “Noise,” as well as “American Fork,” which was an official selection in the 2007 Slamdance Film Festival and the HBO Comedy Arts Festival.

Baldwin makes his television series debut starring in the highly-anticipated ABC series, “Dirty Sexy Money,” opposite Jill Clayburgh, Donald Sutherland and Peter Krause. The tongue-in-cheek drama focuses on the wealth, power & privilege of the fictional Darling family of New York City – and the idealistic lawyer who works for them. Baldwin portrays Patrick Darling, the state Attorney General pondering a Senate run – who is also harboring a multitude of scandalous secrets. The show has been called a mixture of “Dynasty,” “Desperate Housewives” and “Six Feet Under.”

Baldwin is also partnered with Chazz Palminteri in writing and producing a drama series for Fox Television Studios. In 2005, Baldwin memorably starred with Laura Linney and Jeff Daniels in the critical award-winning hit film “The Squid & The Whale.” The drama, directed by Noah Baumbach and produced by Wes Anderson, was recognized on over 200 Top 10 Lists that year.

Baldwin has starred in over 25 films of varied genres. He appeared in the screen adaptation of Noel Coward’s “Relative Values” with Steven Fry, Colin Firth and Julie Andrews; the Irish Hell’s Kitchen drama “One Eyed King” with Chazz Palminteri and Armand Assante; and “The Brotherhood of Murder,” a drama about a breakaway faction of the Aryan Nation with Peter Gallagher and Kelly Lynch. Other film credits include “Backdraft,” “Curdled,” “Virus,” “Pyromaniacs: A Love Story,” “Shattered Image,” “Double Bang,” “Fair Game,” “Sliver,” “Three of Hearts,” “Flatliners,” “Internal Affairs,” and the “The Preppy Murder.” He made his feature film debut in Oliver Stone’s “Born on the Fourth of July.”

A native of Massapequa, New York, Baldwin graduated from State University of New York at Binghamton University with a degree in Political Science.

Baldwin serves on the boards of Project ALS (which raises funds to find a cure for Lou Gehrig’s disease), The Massapequa Community Fund, Mercy Corps and The Carol M. Baldwin Breast Cancer Research Fund.

Baldwin lives in New York with his wife Chynna Phillips and his three children Jameson, Vance and Brooke.
