Samaire Armstrong was born on October 31, 1980 in Tokyo, Japan. She is an American actress.
During her school years, Samaire and her family moved around a lot and this brought her to places such as Hawaii, Arizona and of course Japan. It was here that she was trained in the martial arts of sword practicing and judo, starting when she was 5 years old. This she has continued through the years and still practices once a week. She says:"We travelled alot. I was always the smaller white girl and I was picked on so I was in a lot of fights"
While studying at the University of Arizona, Samaire decided to give acting a chance and headed for Los Angeles, where she soon was cast in the TV-show Freaks and Geeks. This she followed up guest starring in Judging Amy, Party of Five, That's Life and ER. Her more recent roles include a guest role in the last season of X-Files and films such as the thriller Darkwolf and the comedy Not Another Teen Movie (2001). She has also been involved in a re-telling of The Importance of Being Earnest called Would I Lie To You.
She also starred in Stay Alive, Just My Luck and Rise. In 2006, she starred alongside Kevin Zegers in the romantic comedy "It's a Boy/Girl Thing". Armstrong has been cast in the drama Dirty Sexy Money, which was picked up for the 2007-2008 television season by ABC.
