Nathan Lane was born on February 3, 1956 in Jersey City, New Jersey. He is a Tony Award-winning and Emmy Award-winning American comic actor of the stage and screen.
His career began on off-Broadway productions at Second Stage Theatre, the Roundabout Theatre, and the Manhattan Theatre Club, but he made his debut on Broadway in 1982 debut in a revival of Noel Coward's Present Laughter.
His second Broadway appearance was in the 1983 box-office failure Merlin, starring Chita Rivera, and magician Doug Henning. The early 1990s began a highly successful stretch of Broadway shows for Lane. In 1995 he performed in The Wizard of Oz in Concert: Dreams Come True.
He voiced in such movies include The Lion King (1994), Stuart Little (1999), Stuart Little 2 (2002) and Stuart Little 3: Call of the Wild (2005).
Nathan also appeared in television series include "Encore! Encore!" (1998-1999), "Absolutely Fabulous" (2004) and "30 Rock" (2007).
