Liam Neeson

William John 'Liam' Neeson was born on June 7, 1952 in Ballymena, County Antrim, Northern Ireland.
He is known for his leading roles in Steven Spielberg’s drama Schindler's List (1993). He also starred with Julia Roberts in Michael Collins (1996).
In 1999 he played the Jedi knight Qui-Gon Jinn in the blockbuster Star Wars prequel The Phantom Menace. His other films include K-19: The Widowmaker (2002) starred alongside Harrison Ford, Martin Scorsese's Gangs of New York (2002) with Cameron Diaz and Love Actually (2003), starring Hugh Grant. In 2005 he appeared with Christian Bale in the Batman movie Batman Begins, and voiced Aslan the lion in the C.S. Lewis-inspired film The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe.
Neeson was nominated for an Oscar for his role as heroic World War II businessman Oskar Schindler in Schindler's List.
Since July 3, 1994, Neeson has been married to actress Natasha Richardson, daughter of the late director Tony Richardson and screen legend Vanessa Redgrave.
Neeson was named an Officer of the Order of the British Empire by Queen Elizabeth II in her 1999 New Year's Honours List.
