Gabriel Macht

Gabriel S. Macht was born on January 22, 1972 in The Bronx, New York. He is an American actor.
At age 8, Gabriel starred in his debut film, Why Would I Lie, and although he received a Youth in Film Best Actor nomination, Gabriel took a break from acting until after finishing high school.
After graduating high school, he made a guest star appearance on Beverly Hills, 90210. Gabriel was casted to the television movie, Follow The River and then went onto Washington D.C.'s Arena Stage to star in the 1994-1995 season of What The Butler Saw.
Next came his guest role on Sex and The City as Barkley the infamous modelizer. While in New York, he appeared off-Broadway as Elvis Presley in comedian Steve Martin's 1995 production of Picasso at the Lapin Agile.
Some of Gabriel's other feature credits are the acclaimed independent films The Adventures of Sebastian Cole, 101 Ways and The Bookie's Lament, the latter of which concerns Irish gangsters in Hell's Kitchen during the 1970s and involves him as star and producer.
Even though he landed small roles in a number of Hollywood films, but his career really began to take off in 2000, when he auditioned for and got the role of William Holden in the ABC TV biopic The Audrey Hepburn Story, playing opposite to Jennifer Love Hewitt, as well as a starring role as a medical intern on the sci-fi series The Others.
In 2001, Gabriel scored a major coup when he was chosen to play Jesse James brother Frank, co-starring Colin Farrell as Jesse in American Outlaws. Although the film was given thumbs down by many critics, producers and casting directors took notice of the leading male stars.
A number of roles in top Hollywood movies followed, including Behind Enemy Lines in 2001 Bad Company in 2002, The Recruit in 2003, Grand Theft Parsons in 2003, A Love Song For Bobby Long in 2004, The Good Shepherd in 2006, and Because I Said So in 2007. His upcoming project include: One Way To Valhalla and Whiteout (2008).
