Daniel Radcliffe born Daniel Jacob Radcliffe on July 23, 1989, is from Fulham, a suburb just inside London, England.
He enjoys the company of two very loving, supportive parents, as well as his two dogs. Regarding school, Dan is primarily tutored on the film set. Dan knew he wanted to "act" at the age of five.
Daniel unfortunately did not land a part in "Oliver Twist", a Charles Dickens television production, but went on to appear as "David" in the coveted Dickens classic, David Copperfield, released in 2000. Auditioning up against hundred's of boys, Dan was surprised to get the part which was suggested by a friend. In 2001, Dan took a small part in John Boorman's "The Tailor of Panama." The film was released and written from John LeCarre's popular spy novel.
He starred as Harry Potter in the 2001 film Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone and its sequels, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (2002), Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (2004) and Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (2005). The films were based on the popular series of novels by British author J.K. Rowling. Radcliffe's first film role was as David in the BBC TV adaptation of David Copperfield (1999). He also had a part in The Tailor of Panama (2001) starring opposite Pierce Brosnan.
Radcliffe previously attended the Sussex House School, an all-boys school and for his AS levels at City of London School.
He plays bass guitar and is a fan of punk rock music; he admires a diverse lineup of bands, from Sex Pistols to Arctic Monkeys. Daniel is also a fan of Fulham Football Club.
His future projects include a new movie with Harry Potter - Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (2007) and December Boys (2007).
