Colin Farrell born on May 31, 1976 in Dublin, Ireland. The son of a professional soccer player, Farrell followed his sister to the Gaiety Drama School in Dublin, but eventually dropped out when he landed the role of Danny Byrne on the BBC series Ballykissangel.
Colin made his big Hollywood breakthrough in 2003, sparring with Al Pacino in the CIA flick The Recruit, battling Ben Affleck in the superhero hit Daredevil. Earlier, Farrell won critical raves as Roland Bozz, an unwilling Texas army recruit in the Vietnam-era war drama Tigerland (2000). Farrell attended the Gaiety Drama School in Dublin before winning the role of Danny Byrne in the 1990s BBC TV series Ballykissangel. He makes the gossip columns regularly and has an earned reputation as a bad boy, but Farrell is also a hard-working leading man whose movies include Hart's War (2002, with Bruce Willis), Minority Report (2002), S.W.A.T. (2003, with Samuel L. Jackson) and Alexander (2004, playing Alexander the Great).
