Adrienne Jo Barbeau was born on June 11, 1945 in Sacramento, California. She is an American television, film, character and musical theater actress.
She has starred in over 25 musicals and plays, such as Women Behind Bars, The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas, and Grease.
During the 1970s, Barbeau starred as the daughter of Bea Arthur's title character on the comedy series Maude, which ran from 1972 to 1978.
Barbeau was cast in numerous television films and on shows such as The Love Boat, Fantasy Island, Valentine Magic on Love Island and Battle of the Network Stars.
She starred in John Carpenter’s horror film, The Fog (1980). She also appeared in She also appeared in The Cannonball Run (1981) and Back to School (1986).Her last credits include Deceit (2006), Unholy (2007) and Fly Me to the Moon (2008).
Barbeau was married to director John Carpenter from January 1, 1979 to 1984. Barbeau married actor/playwright Billy Van Zandt on December 31, 1992.
