Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje was born on August 23, 1967 in Islington, London, England. He is a British actor, solicitor and former male fashion model.
He appearances in the films: Legionnaire, the HBO movie Deadly Voyage, television series Cracker and New York Undercover, as well as the ABC miniseries 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea.
He also starred in Ace Ventura When Nature Calls (1995), Congo (1997), The Mummy Returns (2001), The Bourne Identity (2002) and Get Rich or Die Tryin' (2005). He is best known for his television roles as Simon Adebisi on "Oz' and as Mr. Eko on "Lost."
He is a practicing Buddhist.
