Brent Jay Spiner was born on 2nd February 1949 in Houston, Texas. He is an American actor.
Brent attended mostly the University of Houston where he majored in theatre & minored in music; he never actually graduated although rumours abound about the "degrees" Brent has mainly in Physics, Chemistry & Geology.
He also attended: Bellaire High School (he graduated in 1967), Houston Baptist University, Trinity College - San Antonio & after University he attended the Strasberg institute in New York & took four courses although he left within a few months.
Brent became a professional actor in 1969 when he got his equity card & he obtained his Screen Actors Guild card the same year for "My sweet Charlie".
He is best known for his portrayal of the android Lieutenant Commander Data in the television and movie series Star Trek: The Next Generation. He also starred in Independence Day (1996), Phenomenon (1996), I Am Sam (2001) and Material Girls (2006).
Brent is in a long term relationship with Publicist Ms. Loree McBride & they now have a baby Son born 29th June 2002 whom they have named Jackson.
