Aida Turturro was born on September 25, 1962 New York, New York, USA. She is an American actress.

She starred on the HBO TV series The Sopranos, a role which netted her an Emmy Award nomination in 2001 and 2007.

In 1998, she collaborated with cousin John Turturro in a supporting role under his direction in Illuminata. Crocodile Dundee in Los Angeles (2001).

She has also appeared in a number of films including Sleepers (1996), What About Bob (1991), Jersey Girl (1992), Deep Blue Sea (1999), Mickey Blue Eyes (1999) and Bringing Out the Dead (1999).
