Helena Bonham Carter
Helena Bonham Carter was born on May 26, 1966 in Golders Green, London. She is an Academy Award-nominated British actress.
Helena made her screen debut in 1985, playing the ill-fated title character of Trevor Nunn's Lady Jane. This led to her casting as the protagonist in the critically acclaimed Merchant/Ivory adaptation of E.M. Forster's A Room With a View (1986), the film proved a great critical success, winning eight Academy Award nominations.
She also appeared in Maurice (1987), Howard's End (1992), The Wings of a Dove (1997) and Fight Club (1999).
She played the role of Jenny in Burton's Big Fish (2003), portrayed Charlie's mother in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (2005) and voiced the title role in Corpse Bride (2005).
Bonham Carter was in a relationship with actor Kenneth Branagh from 1994 to the summer of 1999. She then briefly dated actors Rufus Sewell and Steve Martin. In October 2001, she began her current relationship with director Tim Burton.
