Linda Edna Cardellini was born June 25, 1975 in Redwood City, California, USA. She is an American television and film actress.

Cardellini appeared in 1993 as a contestant on The Price Is Right. She got her start in television as the lead in Bone Chillers (1996), an ABC children's show.

In the 2002 feature film Scooby-Doo. Cardellini kicked off her movie career in the 1998 teen flicks Dead Man on Campus and Strangeland.

She also had recurring parts on the TV shows Boy Meets World and Guys Like Us before landing a starring role as wild-child honor student Lindsay Weir on the TV drama Freaks and Geeks (1999-2000).

She had a supporting role as the upper-class Chutney Windham in Legally Blonde (2001) and then starred in Scooby-Doo with Sarah Michelle Gellar and Freddie Prinze, Jr. In 2003 she joined the cast of the hospital drama ER as Samantha Taggart, a free-spirited nurse. She again played Velma in the 2004 sequel Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed.

She currently is starring on ER.
