Sydney Pollack

Sydney Pollack was born on July 1, 1934 in Lafayette, Indiana, USA. He is an Academy Award-winning American film director, producer and actor.

He appeared in Woody Allen's Husbands and Wives (1992), Robert Altman's The Player (1992), Robert Zemeckis's Death Becomes Her (1992), Steven Zaillian's Civil Action (1998), Stanley Kubrick's Eyes Wide Shut (1999) and Roger Michel's Changing Lanes (2002).

His other movie roles include Tootsie (1982) and The Interpreter (2005). In 2007 Pollack made a guest appearance on The Sopranos.

Pollack has been married to Claire Griswold since 1958.
