Billy Crystal
William Jacob Crystal was born on March 14, 1948 in Long Beach, New York. He is a Golden Globe Award-nominated and Emmy Award-winning American actor, writer, producer, comedian and film director.
A successful stand-up comic, he played television's first openly gay character in the comedy series Soap.
Billy Crystal is a former cast member of Saturday Night Live (1984-85), the star of such comedies as When Harry Met Sally... (1989) and Analyze This (1999) starring Robert DeNiro.
In the late '80s and early '90s he established himself as a leading man in comedy films like City Slickers (1991) and Forget Paris (1995). He made his directorial debut with 1992's Mr. Saturday Night.
He also starred in The Princess Bride (1987), Monsters, Inc. (2001) Analyze That (2002) and Cars (2006).
