Jonny Lee Miller was born on November 15, 1972 in Kingston upon Thames, Surrey, England. He is an English actor.

He made his television debut at the age of 11, in the miniseries Mansfield Park. Following appearances in a number of other productions, including 1993's Prime Suspect 3, Lee Miller made his film debut in Iain Softley's Hackers in 1995.

He starred in Danny Boyle's film adaptation of the Irvine Welsh novel Trainspotting. The film became an international hit, boosting the careers of Lee Miller and his co-stars, Ewan McGregor and Robert Carlyle. Another his movies include Regeneration (1997), Afterglow (1997) and Dracula 2000 (2000).

His last projects include Mindhunters (2004), Aeon Flux (2005) and The Flying Scotsman (2006).

Jonny Lee Miller generally keeps very quiet about his personal life. He married actress Angelina Jolie in 1996. They separated a year later and were divorced in 1999. Since then, he's dated several well-known women including Lisa Faulkner and Natalie Appleton, but has been seeing actress/model Michele Hicks since 2006.
