Vincent Phillip D'Onofrio was born on June 30, 1959 in Brooklyn, New York. He is an American actor and producer.

He starred in Kubrick's Vietnam movie Full Metal Jacket (1987), Adventures in Babysitting (1987), Mystic Pizza (1988), and Dying Young (1991).

In 1991 he played an Argentinian pimp with peculiar ideas about propriety in Leonard Schrader's peculiar Naked Tango. Recent credits include Fires Within (1991), The Player (1992), Household Saints (1993), Being Human, Ed Wood (1994) and The Break-Up (2006).

D'Onofrio was married actress Greta Scacchi. He married Carin van der Donk on March 22, 1997. The couple have a son Elias, born late 1999. D'Onofrio and van der Donk separated in October 2003.
