Olivier Martinez was born on January 12, 1966 in Paris, France. He is a Spanish-French film actor.

He first came to mainstream attention in Hollywood films with his performance opposite Diane Lane in Unfaithful (2002). He has since appeared in a television adaptation of The Roman Spring of Mrs Stone (2003), S.W.A.T. (2003) and Taking Lives (2004).

His last projects include Blood and Chocolate (2007).

Martinez lived with Juliette Binoche for three years. After that He was then linked to Mira Sorvino and with Australian Dance-pop singer Kylie Minogue.

He has recently been linked to Spanish actress Penélope Cruz by tabloid newspapers.
