David Duchovny

David Duchovny was born in Manhattan on August 7, 1960, to a Jewish father and a Scottish mother, Duchovny did his undergraduate work at Princeton and then went on to pursue a Master's degree in English Literature at Yale.

He is best known for his starring role as Fox Mulder on the FOX sci fi drama series The X-Files and his recurring role as Jake Winters in the series Red Shoe diaries.

David starred also in several feature films, including Kalifornia (1993) with with Brad Pitt, The X-Files: The Movie (1998), Evolution (2001), and the romantic dramedy Trust the Man (2006).

Duchovny married actress Téa Leoni on May 6, 1997.

He is a vegetarian and wears contact lenses.
