Diane Lane was born on January 22, 1965 in New York City. He is an Academy Award-nominated American actress.

Lane began her film career at age 13, opposite Sir Lawrence Olivier, in A Little Romance (1979). Lane earned critical acclaim for her performance as a bright American girl living in Paris. She became very popular among teenage audiences. In 1979, she graced the cover of Time, which profiled her as Hollywood’s newest rising star.

During the '80s starred in three films by Francis Ford Coppola: The Outsiders (1983), Rumble Fish (1984) and The Cotton Club (1984).

He also starred in Chaplin (1992) with Robert Downey, Jr., The Perfect Storm (2000) satrred with Mark Wahlberg; Hardball (2001), with Keanu Reeves; The Glass House (2001) starred opposite Lee Lee Sobieski; Under the Tuscan Sun (2003); Must Love Dogs (2005); and Hollywoodland (2006).

She earned an Oscar nomination for her role as a wayward wife in 2002's Unfaithful.

Lane dated rock star Jon Bon Jovi in the 1980s and she was married to French actor Christopher Lambert from 1988 to 1994. Now Lane married actor Josh Brolin on August 14, 2004.
