Nick Nolte

Nick Nolte was born on February 8, 1941 in Omaha, Nebraska, USA. He is a Oscar-nominated American actor, model, and producer.

From the beginning of Nick Nolte’s career, he has played with the media, openly admitting to lying about his private life to create a fiction for public consumption.

Nick Nolte made several notable screen performances, including Who'll Stop the Rain in 1978 and Heartbeat in 1980, before achieving commercial success opposite Eddie Murphy in the cop comedy 48 Hours.

Nolte is considered a talented character actor and leading man. In 1991 he was nominated for an Oscar for his work in The Prince of Tides starred alongside Barbra Streisand. His other films include Affliction (1997) starred with James Coburn and Sissy Spacek, The Thin Red Line (1998), The Good Thief (2003), Hotel Rwanda (2004), and Peaceful Warrior (2006).

The actor has had a long struggle with drug and alcohol abuse. His 2002 arrest for driving under the influence determined him to return to rehab and revitalize his career.

He has been involved with Sheila Page, Karen Louise Eklund, Sharyn Haddad, Debra Winger, Vicki Lewis, and Rebecca Linger. Currently he is single.
