Mary Catherine McCormack was born on February 8, 1969 in Plainfield, New Jersey. She is an American television and film actress.

McCormack began her acting career at age 12 performing in Gian Carlo Menotti's Christmas opera, Amahl and the Night Visitors.

McCormack is appearing in a new television series for the USA Network, In Plain Sight. She also has appeared in Murder One (1995–1997), The West Wing (2004–2006) and in the HBO series K Street.

McCormack also appeared in movies, including Deep Impact (1998), K-PAX (2001), Right at Your Door (2006), 1408 (2007) and TV series "ER" (2003-2006).
