Lukas Haas

Lukas D. Haas was born on April 16, 1976 in West Hollywood, California, USA. He is an American actor.

At the age of five, he was discovered in his kindergarten by casting director Marjorie Simkin. Lukas’ star rose in 1984, when, at the age of seven, he landed the titled role of ‘Samuel’ opposite Harrison Ford in the Peter Weir film, Witness.

Lukas was subsequently nominated for an Emmy for his portrayal of AIDS victim, Ryan White, in the controversial TV movie, The Ryan White Story.

Lukas went on to work with acclaimed directors such as Woody Allen for Everyone Says I Love You, Tim Burton for Mars Attacks, and Alan Rudolph for The Breakfast of Champions.

Haas is also a musician and has a MySpace Music page which features four songs, including "Kemp", and "In Between". He plays the drums and piano for a band called The Rogues.
