Clifford Vivian Devon Curtis was born on July 27, 1968 in Rotorua, New Zealand. He is a New Zealand actor.

He appeared in The Piano (1993), Desperate Remedies (1993), the gruelling urban drama Once Were Warriors (1994), in which he plays a child rapist, and the lighthearted comedy Jubilee (2000).

Other his credits include Blow (2001), Three Kings (1999), The Insider (1999), Training Day (2001) and Runaway Jury (2003)

His international reputation grew further in 2003, when he was one of the leads in the internationally popular New Zealand film Whale Rider.

Cliff’s last credits are Sunshine (2007) and 10,000 B.C. (2008).
