Bonnie Somerville was born on February 24, 1974 in Brooklyn, New York, USA. She is an American actress.

Her first major acting audition for television was for the lead role in CBS's mini-series, Shake, Rattle and Roll: An American Love Story (1999), in which she also sang.

She also starred on the popular sitcom Friends. n 2005, she starred in a lead role in the short-lived sitcom Kitchen Confidential.

She will now be starring opposite Lucy Liu in ABC's new dramedy Cashmere Mafia (2007).
