Shaun Toub was born in Manchester, England. He is an Iranian film and television actor.

He has appeared in in over 100 television episodes including Seinfeld, the Sopranos, ER, Just Shoot Me, Nash Bridges, JAG, The Bold and the Beautiful, the New Adventures of Superman, Married... with Children and Lost.

His filmography includes his memorable performance in Michael Bay's Bad Boys (1995) with Will Smith and Martin Lawrence, Broken Arrow (1996) with John Travolta and Christian Slater and Live from Baghdad (2002) starring Michael Keaton and Helena Bonham Carter.

He also appeared in Paul Haggis's Oscar-winning film Crash (2004), The Kite Runner (2007) and Charlie Wilson's War (2007).

Recently he signed in the Marvel Comics adaptation Iron Man (2008).
