Martha MacIsaac was born on October 11, 1984 in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, Canada. She is a Canadian television and film actress.

Martha's next role, and perhaps the one she is most well known for, is also one of Lucy Maud Montgomery classic and well known characters - Emily Byrd Starr. Martha stared as Emily on the Canadian drama "Emily of New Moon". The CBC drama has the honour of being one of the few television production of an L.M.Montgomery set and filmed on Prince Edward Island. The show lasted four seasons before being cancelled in early 2000.

After graduating from high school, Martha made a big move, career wise - a move to Toronto, Ontario. Toronto is known as "Hollywood North". It was here that Martha filmed several movies for Disney/ABC. Her acting also left the screen and moved to stage. Martha has been part of many of SoulPepper's stage productions at the Young Center for the Performing Arts. Most recently she has been receiving rave reviews for her role as Emily in "Our Town".

It seems a very fitting end to her Canadian acting career. Starting with one Emily, ending with another. But don't you worry, Martha isn't finished acting - she's making the big move to Los Angelas to try her hand in Hollywood.

Her last role was in the 2007 teen comedy Superbad.
