Eugene Levy was born on December 17, 1946 in Hamilton, Ontario. He is a Canadian Emmy- and Grammy Award-winning actor, television director, producer, musician and writer.

Levy's first film came about when founding member of the film board Ivan Reitman, director of Ghostbusters and Six Days Seven Nights, cast Levy in Cannibal Girls in 1973.

From 1976-1984, this group would rival 'Saturday Night Live' with 'SCTV' – an improvisational show with Catherine O'Hara, John Candy, Joe Flaherty, Rick Moranis, Martin Short, and Andrea Martin.

Levy went on to make appearances in notable comedies like Splash (1984), Vacation (1983), Club Paradise (1986) and Multiplicity (1996).

He also starred in American Pie (1999), American Pie 2 (2001), American Wedding (2003) and Over the Hedge (2006).

He is married to TV writer Deborah Devine, and together they have two children.
