Ray McKinnon was born on November 15, 1957 in Adel, Georgia, USA. He is an American actor and director.

He appeared in Bugsy (1991), A Perfect World (1993), Apollo 13 (1995), Oh Brother Where Art Thou? (2000) and The Missing (2003).

His last roles include Come Early Morning (2006), Things That Hang from Trees (2006) and Randy and the Mob (2007).

Ray directed 38-minute dark comedy, The Accountant (2001). The Accountant went on to receive the Academy Award for Best Live Action Short Film in 2002.
