Harold Perrineau Jr. was born on August 7, 1963 in Brooklyn, New York. He is an American actor.

He got his acting debut in "Fame", and continued doing theater for most of his early career. In 1988 he began his movie to films and television.

Harold has been in titles such as Shakedown, Smoke, and The Edge. He starred in Romeo + Juliet (1996), The Matrix Reloaded (2003), The Matrix Revolutions (2003) and 28 Weeks Later (2007).

His most recent role was playing Michael Dawson on the ABC show, Lost which is currently in its third season.
