Yunjin Kim was born on November 7, 1973 in Seoul, South Korea. She is a Korean American film and theatre actress.

She is currently in Hawaii, shooting a huge hit TV show called "Lost" on ABC, playing the role of "Sun."

In films, she has played many different roles, ranging from a sexy assassin in blockbuster hit "Shiri" to a beaten-down housewife who finds herself caught in a dangerous affair in "Ardor." In Korean television, Yunjin became an overnight sensation when she palyed a successful business woman in a MBC hit mini-series called "The Hunch" in the fall of 1997.

Her career truly took off in Korea and other Asian countries with her film "Shiri" in 1999. Yunjin became a huge star in Japan, Hong Kong, and Taiwan with the success of "Shiri." Yunjin's fame in Asia led her to shoot a Japanese movie called "Rush" in 2001. Yunjin also served as the Goodwill Ambassador to Korea and Japan for the 2002 Fifa World Cup.

She also published a Japanese photobook called "XOXO" and worked as a model and spokesperson for Kanebo in several Asian countries, including Japan and Korea. She received many acting awards from her film debut "Shiri" and "Ardor."
