Sendhil Ramamurthy was born on May 17, 1974 in Chicago, Illinois. He is an American actor.

He was raised in San Antonio, Texas, where he went to Keystone School. After his graduation in 1991 he attended Tufts University to become a physician too.

Sendhil changed his career plans after he got interested in acting because he had taken an "Intro to Acting" class in his junior year. He graduated with a bachelor's degree in history and then attended the Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art.

She starred in Little India (2001), Thanks to Gravity (2006) and Blind Dating (2006). His television roles include "Ultimate Force" (2002) and "Heroes" (2006-2007).

Sendhil is married to Olga Sosnovska, they married in 1999 and have one child.
